Fearless “Devotion”

Are you really fearless?

And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. (Luke 12:7 NLT)

Imagine living a life without fear. A life knowing that God is in control and you will be ok.  I often have to battle against the fear of being a failure and being able to provide for my family in the future. I have seen so many people older than me struggling and I wonder will that be me. I ask myself, where did they go wrong, what mistakes did they make so I can avoid them?

The scripture below gives me peace of mind. It shows me to not be worried about my future because God is in control of every detail. I am one of God’s creatures and He takes care of His own. Just as the birds are taken care of how much more me, His beloved child.

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? (Matthew 6:25, 26 NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for security in You and Your son Jesus. Take away my fear of an unknown future.

  1. That is so true. I think every person lives in fear of something. If we would just trust in God, He will provide our every need big or small. I know for me my biggest fear is failing my family and God. I should trust more and fear less.
