God is our protector, healer, deliverer!

Spiritual Food for Thought: God is our protector, healer, deliverer!

“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.”-Psalm 35: 8-10

I love this Psalm that David wrote because it shows that even through his trials, he continued to call on the name of the Lord. David, who has been referred to as a man after God’s heart, wasn’t always obedient to the Word of God. He, too, stumbled and fell due to disobedience.

We can relate to David’s experiences in our own walk with God. Recognize that no matter what we have done in our past, even today; God is our deliverer, our refuge. He can and will deliver us from all of our pain and afflictions but we must seek Him. This involves acknowledging your wrongdoings, confessing them before the Lord, accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and choosing to follow Him.

This may seem like too much work for some but, what is your alternative? Verse 16 in this Psalm states,

“the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off remembrance of them from the earth.”

I encourage you to read Psalm 34 in it’s entirety. Notice what God does for those who truly seek Him. God is not willing for any of us to perish. That is why He sent us Jesus Christ!

He is our protector, healer, deliverer!

Praise God going forward! God bless!
