I remember coming up playing sports, I could distinguish my parents voice yelling at me at anytime. “Run, block, slide, kick and catch” were some of the words I remember. Basic words for anyone playing sports being yelled by two people amongst 30 to 50 people.

Of course, my parents were much closer to the field before I reached middle school and then the crowd became bigger and they sat further away from the field of play. But with people yelling at the same time how was I able to distinguish their voices so loud and clear on a football field, a soccer field or a baseball field with multiple parents yelling the same words to their kids?

When you’ve been with someone from birth you become familiar with them. When you spend a lot of time with someone you begin to know them and guess what? They get to know you as well.

How much time do you spend with Jesus? Would you know His voice if He called you?

More importantly, does He know your name?

“He calls His own sheep by name.”

“He calls His own sheep by name.”

“He calls His own sheep by name!”
