Molehill into a Mountain “Devotion”

Molehill into a Mountain “Devotion”

Have you ever turned a molehill into a mountain?

The Israelites wandered around in the wilderness for forty years when their journey could have been way shorter than that, but through disobedience, and lack of trust in God they made their journey longer and more difficult than it had to be.

Eleven Days Into Forty Years

Me personally after evaluating myself I feel like I’ve done the same things the Israelites did in my life. As a matter of fact, I’ve made plenty of molehills into enormous mountains! By choosing the wrong route and being disobedient to God it took me years to experience victory over something that could have been dealt with quickly, and less painful then it was if I would have trusted God and had more faith in God’s direction and not mine!

The Lord is saying the same thing to you and me today that He said to the children of Israel: “You have stayed long enough at this mountain.” It’s time for us to move on!

“The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain. (Deuteronomy 1:6 NIV)
