Whatever You Do “Devotion”

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31 NLT)

Wow, God even in the little things and trivial things we can honor You. This shows how much You care for us because You are concerned with all areas of life, big and small. Thank You.

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God…” This is quite a convicting scripture because I do not always follow it. Usually I think or feel like God is there to help with my big problems or important things, but this verse tells me to include Him in everything. In what ever I do, I should put forth the maximum effort to glorify God. This verse also motivates and empowers me to always do my best because any and all my actions have the opportunity to glorify and be meaningful to God.

Please Pray:

Lord help me to remember You in the details of life. Even my eating and drinking can be honorable to You. Lord at times I am filled with self doubt and question my worth, but Father this verse reminds me that everything I do is important because I can do it to glorify You. In John 17 Jesus talks about sharing His glory with us believers. This shows Your heart of caring and unselfishness. Help us to share our every action with You, to glorify You and not ourselves. Amen.

That’s right, I’m guilty of not bringing God in on a lot of things that I think are small. But that’s what we need to do is ask God to be in every thing we do.
