Who’s hat are you wearing first in your life?
There are a lot of times in my life where my shield of faith weakens. This may be a time that comes from the many hats of life I wear.
The hat of serving God first, then as a husband, and then as a father are the usual hats, but when you add, employee, friend, son, brother, brother-in-law and business owner to name a few more, sometimes those added hats can then become very strenuous.
The bills my wife and I deal with, and the everyday life expenses is enough to make me distraught. At times it seems like every time we start to climb a hill the mountain comes!
A car problem, a leak in the roof, the pipes bust, and least but not least that’s when the kids, the job, or another problem comes up. Weather it’s sickness, days off, or school problems with the kids it’s always something else added! The devil stays busy and he will take his best shots at you when your faith is weaken. When your shield appears to be damaged.
Sometimes you wear so many different hats in your life that you get away from the one you need to always have on.
No matter how many hits we take in life even the best soldiers become weak. Your shield and your armor of God gets weak because we don’t take the proper time we need to rebuild, or restore our armor from all the hits it takes. All soldiers have to rest and have the proper nutrients to replenish their body’s to be able to fight again, and wear their numerous amounts of hats or they will burnout and satan will strike, and he will strike hard!
The way you rebuild and replenish your armor is to take time and spend it with God! Read your bible, do your devotions. Pray in The Spirit and refresh your soul and remember it doesn’t matter how many hats you wear in life as long as your first hat is the hat for God! Get your armor back in shape and let’s keep fighting in The Name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit! Amen!
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:16-18 NLT)
